Plug In Termination Type A (250A) EPA / SPA

The 250A termination is designed in two types, namely straight and elbow, which are used for various XLPE ground cables (PVC, PE, XLPE, EPR) with semi-conductor layer. They are used for different cable sizes, armored and non-armored cables and tape and wire shields. The maximum voltage of this termination is 24kV and it is suitable for connecting to type A bushing in accordance with EN50180, EN 50181 and DIN 47636.

This termination follows the standards below:

• CENELEC HD 629.1
• DIN VDE 0278 part 629.1

The stress control in these terminations is also made of silicon, whose capability to control the electric field is quite higher than EPDM, and despite the EPDM type which is common in other plug in terminations, it prevents the explosion of the termination resulted from sudden changes in the electric field. It does not lead to fire and will not form toxic smoke. The stress control and the body of these terminations are built in one piece, which reduces the installer’s likelihood of making mistakes to a large degree.

• Resistant to tension and high temperature
• With the capability to connect to one another, this termination can be used as a joint as shown in the figure.
